Mumbai: The admissions to the second and third years of various courses at University of Mumbai’s (MU) Institute for Distance and Open Learning (IDOL) for the academic year 2020-21 have started from September 8 and will continue until September 23.
IDOL has started admissions for undergraduate programmes, including second and third-year BA, BCom, BSc Information Technology (IT) and BSc Computer Science (CS), postgraduate (PG) programmes including part II of MA, MA – Education, MCom, MSc (Mathematics, IT and CS) and MCA (II and III). Year) as well as one-year PG diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM) PG Diploma in Operations Research in Management (PGDORM). However, the first-year admissions of these courses will begin after the University Grants Commission’s (UGC) Distance Education Bureau (DEB) announces the schedule.
The admissions will be conducted online through IDOL’s portal idoloa.digitaluniversity.ac. The institute has also made the details of the admission process available on its Facebook group and Twitter account. Aspirants can also write to the authorities on firstname.lastname@example.org for enquiries. The students can get the study material as well as necessary guidance at the university’s Kalina campus and sub-centres at Thane, Kalyan and Ratnagiri.
Last year, as many as 67,237 students – 41,066 female and 26,171 male – were admitted to IDOL.
