MHT-CET 2020 had 29 questions with errors. Candidates to get full marks.

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell last week issued a notice responding to various objections raised by students about questions in MHT-CET 2020 papers as well as the answers provided in the Answer Key. Here are 10 takeaways from the notice:

  1. As many as 29 questions across all subjects, shifts and languages of MHT-CET 2020 exam had errors.
  2. The State CET Cell has announced that the candidates will get full marks in these questions.
  3. While eight questions were outrightly incorrect, none of the options provided in 17 questions were correct. Four questions had more than one correct option.
  4. Physics papers had the highest number of errors – 17 – while Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology papers had 6, 4 and 2 errors, respectively.
  5. As many as 41 answers suggested in the Answer Key were found to be wrong. The CET Cell has now rectified these errors.
  6. Most of these wrong answers in the Answer Key – 32 to be precise – are from the Biology paper held in the first shift on October 1.
  7. The corrections were made by the chief moderators and moderators of all the subjects after going through the objections raised by students.
  8. The Cell had received 791 objections to questions and answers, of which 469 objections were found to be valid. The highest number of queries – 278 – pertained to Mathematics.
  9. The Cell announced that it will no longer accept any complaint about the accuracy of questions and answers.
  10. MHT CET 2020 score card containing percentile scores of both PCB and PCM groups will be made available to the candidates in their account by November 28.
