The practical exams for the final year students will be held from September 15 to 25 and the theory papers will be conducted between October 5 and 15. The backlog papers of these students will be held between September 25 to October 4.
The test was initially scheduled to be held in April but was postponed to July and August due to Covid-19 pandemic. The dates have now been revised once again according directions of the state government. However, the state CET Cell is yet to disclose details about the format of the test, which was held online last year at designated exam centres.
Other recommendations by the committee include completing the examination process by October 31, providing assistance to differently-abled students to take the tests and allowing students to take the exams from their homes, either online or through pen-and-paper mode, as far as possible.
The directive comes days after state higher and technical education minister Uday Samant announced that the final year exams will begin in the first week of October, assuring students that they will get the entire month of September to prepare for the tests.
All the long-awaited common entrance tets (CETs) for professional courses of Maharashtra, including engineering, pharmacy, management, agriculture, architecture, law and teacher training courses, will likely be held between October 1 to 15, state higher and technical education minister Uday Samant said on Wednesday.
Maharashtra CET Cell on Wednesday declared the schedule for MHT-CET, MAH-MBA/MMS-CET, MAH-LLB-CET and other entrance exams for professional courses in 2020.
Last week, the CET Cell issued a notice, announcing that the test is proposed to be conducted in the second and third weeks of May next year, over a period of 16 to 20 days.
